About the club
Sobell badminton club is one of North London's best-known badminton clubs.
The club is very friendly and welcomes all new players. If you are interested in joining, feel free to come along to one of our club-nights.
The club has 3 teams competing in the Middlesex League First Division - Mens' Doubles, Ladies' Doubles and Mixed Doubles. In 2004/05 the club won the Mixed Doubles league, finished second in the Mens' doubles and third in Womens' doubles!
The club has a number of qualified coaches, including advanced coaches and an assessor appointed by Badminton England. Coaching sessions are an integral part of the club's structure,
Club nights are held at the Sobell Sports Centre on Hornsey Road N7 7NY, which is in close proximity to Finsbury Park underground station and the A1 - Holloway Road.

Playing at Sobell
Club nights are run on a turn-up and pay basis. A club session for adults costs £6.40 or £5.30 for members (Izz card - Islington Leisure Card). A club session for juniors costs £4.50 or £3.50 for members and £2.40 for member concessions. Prices correct at April 2009.
If you are interested in playing at the club, feel free to turn up one of the club nights. Friday night and Sunday afternoon sessions are run by Mark Tsang (Tel: 079 50491106), and by Ismael Onan (Tel: 079 61956520) on Tuesday and Sunday nights.
